THIS STATEMENT IS SPECIFIC TO THE FLORIDA KEYS OF MONROE COUNTY.

...WATCHES AND WARNINGS...
THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER HAS DISCONTINUED THE TROPICAL STORM
WATCH FOR THE FLORIDA KEYS FROM THE WEST END OF THE SEVEN MILE
BRIDGE TO OCEAN REEF. THERE ARE NOW NO WATCHES OR WARNINGS IN EFFECT
FOR THE FLORIDA KEYS AND COASTAL WATERS.

...STORM INFORMATION...
AT 500 AM EDT...THE CENTER OF HURRICANE JEANNE WAS LOCATED NEAR
LATITUDE 27.4 NORTH...LONGITUDE 81.7 WEST. THIS IS ABOUT 150 MILES
NORTH NORTHWEST OF OCEAN REEF...AND ABOUT 20 MILES EAST OF SEBRING
FLORIDA. JEANNE IS A CATEGORY 2 HURRICANE WITH MAXIMUM SUSTAINED
WINDS NEAR 110 MPH...WITH HIGHER GUSTS. JEANNE WILL CONTINUE TO
WEAKEN AS THE CENTER MOVES FURTHER INLAND. THE HURRICANE IS MOVING
SLIGHTLY NORTH OF WEST NEAR 13 MPH...AND A GRADUAL TURN TOWARDS THE
NORTHWEST IS EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS. THE MINIMUM CENTRAL
PRESSURE WAS ESTIMATED AT 955 MB...OR 28.20 INCHES OF MERCURY.
