BE TAKEN BY RESIDENTS IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...IN NORTHEAST

A HURRICANE WATCH IS IN EFFECT FROM ST AUGUSTINE TO FLAGLER BEACH. A
WATCH MEANS THAT HURRICANE CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE IN THE WATCH AREA
IN THE NEXT 36 HOURS.

AT 8 AM EDT...1200Z...THE CENTER OF HURRICANE JEANNE WAS LOCATED
NEAR LATITUDE 26.1 NORTH...LONGITUDE 72.0 WEST OR ABOUT 315
MILES...EAST OF GREAT ABACO ISLAND IN THE NORTHWESTERN BAHAMAS.
MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 969 MB. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR
100 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS...MAKING JEANNE A CATEGORY 2 ON THE
SAFFIR-SIMPSON INTENSITY SCALE. SOME SLOW STRENGTHENING IS POSSIBLE
DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS. JEANNE IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST AT 8 MPH
AND SOME INCREASE IN FORWARD SPEED IS EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT 24
