AT 11 AM EDT...1500Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM JEANNE WAS
LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 23.5 NORTH...LONGITUDE  72.5 WEST OR ABOUT
130 MILES... 210 KM...EAST-SOUTHEAST OF SAN SALVADOR IN THE
BAHAMAS.

JEANNE IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH NEAR 5 MPH...7 KM/HR...AND THIS
MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 45 MPH... 75 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER
GUSTS.  A  RECONNAISSANCE PLANE WILL CHECK JEANNE LATER TODAY. SOME
STRENGTHENING IS FORECAST DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS.
