FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...
THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON TROPICAL
STORM JEANNE...LOCATED ABOUT 140 MILES EAST OF SAN SALVADOR IN THE
BAHAMAS...AND ON HURRICANE KARL...LOCATED ABOUT 1210 MILES WEST OF
THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS.
SHOWER ACTIVITY ASSOCIATED WITH AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE LOCATED
ABOUT 400 MILES WEST-SOUTHWEST OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS HAS
INCREASED A LITTLE THIS MORNING. THIS SYSTEM HAS SOME POTENTIAL
FOR TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION DURING THE NEXT DAY OR TWO AS IT
MOVES SLOWLY WESTWARD.
ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH
MONDAY.
