FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON TROPICAL
STORM JEANNE...LOCATED ABOUT 25 MILES EAST OF MAYAGUANA ISLAND IN
THE SOUTHEASTERN BAHAMAS...AND ON HURRICANE KARL...LOCATED ABOUT
1150 MILES WEST OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS.

SATELLITE IMAGES INDICATE THAT THE SHOWER ACTIVITY ASSOCIATED WITH
AN AREA LOW PRESSURE CENTERED ABOUT 325 MILES WEST-SOUTHWEST OF THE
CAPE VERDE ISLANDS HAS CHANGED LITTLE IN ORGANIZATION THIS EVENING.
THERE IS STILL POTENTIAL FOR TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION DURING THE
NEXT DAY OR TWO AS THE SYSTEM MOVES SLOWLY WESTWARD.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH
SUNDAY.
