AT 8 PM EDT...0000Z...THE CENTER OF HURRICANE IVAN WAS LOCATED NEAR
LATITUDE 24.7 NORTH...LONGITUDE 87.0 WEST OR ABOUT 390 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF CEDAR KEY. IVAN IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH NORTHWEST
NEAR 10 MPH AND THIS MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR THE 24 HOURS.
...STORM SURGE FLOOD AND STORM TIDE IMPACTS...
WATER LEVELS OF 2 TO 4 FEET ABOVE NORMAL TIDES ARE EXPECTED ALONG
THE LEVY COUNTY COAST BEGINNING WEDNESDAY EVENING AND COULD INCREASE
TO 3 TO 5 FEET ABOVE NORMAL TIDES LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY.
MINOR TO MODERATE FLOODING OF LOW LYING COASTAL AREAS MAY
OCCUR...ESPECIALLY DURING THE TIMES OF HIGH TIDE. HIGH TIDES WILL
OCCUR AT 314 AM THURSDAY MORNING AND 339 PM THURSDAY AFTERNOON.
...WIND IMPACTS...
EAST TO NORTHEAST WINDS AROUND 10 MPH AND 15 TO 20 MPH WITH HIGHER
GUSTS WERE BEING OBSERVED OVER LEVY COUNTY AND ADJACENT GULF WATERS
EARLY THIS EVENING. THE STRONGEST WINDS FOR LEVY COUNTY ARE EXPECTED
TO OCCUR WITHIN THE BANDS OF HEAVY RAIN. SUSTAINED WINDS OF 30 TO 40
MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE BEGINNING WEDNESDAY
EVENING.
MINOR DAMAGE MAY OCCUR IN OLDER MOBILE HOME PARKS. NEWLY PLANTED
TREES AND SHRUBS MAY BE UPROOTED IF NOT SECURED PROPERLY. SOME SMALL
TWIGS WILL SEPARATE FROM TREES. RESIDENTS SHOULD MOVE UNFASTENED
