AT 800 PM EDT...THE CENTER OF HURRICANE IVAN WAS LOCATED NEAR
LATITUDE 17.3 NORTH...LONGITUDE 76.5 WEST...OR ABOUT 75 MILES SOUTH
SOUTHEAST OF KINGSTON JAMAICA. THIS IS ABOUT 600 MILES SOUTHEAST OF
KEY WEST. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS WERE NEAR 150 MILES AN
HOUR...MAKING IVAN A DANGEROUS CATEGORY FOUR HURRICANE ON THE
SAFFIR-SIMPSON SCALE...AND IT IS POSSIBLE IVAN COULD REGAIN CATEGORY
5 HURRICANE STATUS AS IT PASSES JAMAICA. IVAN IS MOVING TOWARD THE
WEST NORTHWEST NEAR 11 MILES AN HOUR. MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE WAS
MEASURED AT 926 MB...OR 27.34 INCHES OF MERCURY.
