FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON HURRICANE
IVAN LOCATED ABOUT 20 MILES WEST-SOUTHWEST OF GRENADA IN THE
WINDWARD ISLANDS.

TROPICAL DEPRESSION FRANCES IS CENTERED NEAR THE GEORGIA ALABAMA
BORDER MOVING SLOWLY NORTHWARD.  ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON
FRANCES CAN BE FOUND IN PUBLIC ADVISORIES ISSUED BY THE
HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL PREDICTION CENTER UNDER AWIPS HEADER TCPAT1
AND WMO HEADER WTNT31 KWNH.

A LARGE TROPICAL WAVE...ACCOMPANIED BY A SURFACE LOW PRESSURE
AREA...IS CENTERED MIDWAY BETWEEN AFRICA AND THE LESSER ANTILLES.
WHILE THIS SYSTEM IS CURRENTLY POORLY ORGANIZED...IT HAS THE
POTENTIAL FOR SLOW DEVELOPMENT DURING THE NEXT DAY OR TWO AS IT
MOVES WESTWARD AT 10 TO 15 MPH.

A WELL-DEFINED LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM LOCATED ABOUT 800 MILES SOUTHWEST
OF THE AZORES ISLANDS IS MOVING SLOWLY EASTWARD. UPPER-LEVEL WINDS
ARE NOT FAVORABLE FOR SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENT.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH
WEDNESDAY.
