FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...
THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON TROPICAL
STORM FRANCES...LOCATED OVER THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE AND SOUTHWESTERN
GEORGIA ABOUT 75 MILES NORTHEAST OF APALACHICOLA FLORIDA...AND ON
HURRICANE IVAN...LOCATED OVER THE TROPICAL ATLANTIC OCEAN ABOUT 305
MILES EAST-SOUTHEAST OF BARBADOS.
A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS LOCATED ABOUT 900 MILES SOUTHWEST OF THE
AZORES. UPPER-LEVEL WINDS ARE NOT FAVORABLE FOR TROPICAL CYCLONE
DEVELOPMENT.
A WESTWARD-MOVING TROPICAL WAVE IS LOCATED ABOUT 750 MILES SOUTHWEST
OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS. THIS SYSTEM HAS SOME POTENTIAL FOR
DEVELOPMENT OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.
ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH
TUESDAY.
