FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...
THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON HURRICANE
FRANCES...CENTERED ABOUT 650 MILES EAST-SOUTHEAST OF THE FLORIDA
EAST COAST.
AN AREA OF DISTURBED WEATHER...ASSOCIATED WITH A TROPICAL WAVE...IS
LOCATED ABOUT 850 MILES WEST OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS. THIS SYSTEM
IS MOVING WEST-NORTHWESTWARD NEAR 15 MPH. DEVELOPMENT...IF
ANY...WILL LIKELY BE SLOW DUE TO UNFAVORABLE UPPER-LEVEL WINDS.
ANOTHER TROPICAL WAVE IS LOCATED A FEW HUNDRED MILES SOUTH OF THE
CAPE VERDE ISLANDS. THIS SYSTEM HAS POTENTIAL FOR DEVELOPMENT OVER
THE NEXT DAY OR TWO AS IT MOVES WESTWARD.
ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH
THURSDAY.
