THIS STATEMENT IS FOR RESIDENTS OF THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES IN
NORTHEAST SOUTH CAROLINA...GEORGETOWN...HORRY...WILLIAMSBURG...
FLORENCE AND MARION. THIS ALSO INCLUDES THE COASTAL WATERS FROM
SOUTH SANTEE RIVER SOUTH CAROLINA TO LITTLE RIVER INLET SOUTH
CAROLINA.

...WATCHES/WARNINGS...
TROPICAL STORM WARNINGS HAVE BEEN DISCONTINUED ALONG GEORGETOWN AND
HORRY COUNTIES IN SOUTH CAROLINA.

THE INLAND TROPICAL STORM HIGH WIND WARNING FOR MARION...FLORENCE
AND WILLIAMSBURG IN SOUTH CAROLINA HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED.

A FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR
WILLIAMSBURG...FLORENCE...MARION... DARLINGTON...DILLON AND MARLBORO
COUNTIES IN SOUTH CAROLINA AND ROBESON COUNTY IN NORTH CAROLINA
THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON.

A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST NORTH
CAROLINA AND NORTHEAST SOUTH CAROLINA UNTIL 10 PM.

...STORM INFORMATION...
AT 8 PM EDT...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION GASTON WAS LOCATED
NEAR LATITUDE 34.2 NORTH...LONGITUDE 79.4 WEST OR ABOUT 20 MILES
EAST OF FLORENCE SOUTH CAROLINA.

GASTON IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH NEAR 8 MPH AND A NORTHWARD TO
NORTH NORTHEASTWARD MOTION IS EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS. ON
THIS TRACK THE CENTER WILL MOVE ACROSS NORTH CAROLINA ON MONDAY.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 35 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS. THE
DEPRESSION SHOULD CONTINUE TO WEAKEN TONIGHT AND MONDAY.

THE ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 998 MB OR 29.47 INCHES.

RESIDENTS SHOULD FOLLOW THE ADVICE OF LOCAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND
OTHER GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS.

THERE IS A RISK OF ISOLATED TORNADOES ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH THIS
EVENING...BUT THE HIGHEST RISK IS ALONG AND EAST OF THE PATH OF
GASTON AS IT MOVES UP THE PEE DEE REGION.

...STORM SURGE FLOOD AND STORM TIDE IMPACTS...
WITH TIDES FALLING AND THE WINDS SHIFTING OFFSHORE LATER THIS
EVENING TIDAL FLOODING IS NO LONGER A THREAT.

...SEAS AND RIP CURRENTS...
SEAS IN THE NORTH AND SOUTH CAROLINA WATERS WILL START TO SUBSIDE
OVERNIGHT. WAVES OFF THE SOUTH CAROLINA COAST ARE RANGING BETWEEN 6
TO 9 FEET...WHILE THE NORTH CAROLINA WATERS AROUND CAPE FEAR WILL
HAVE SEAS RANGING BETWEEN 5 AND 8 FEET THIS EVENING. THE SURF WILL
BE 2 TO 4 FEET. THERE IS ALSO A HIGH RISK FOR RIP CURRENTS THROUGH
THE OVERNIGHT WITH A MODERATE RISK ON MONDAY.

...FLOOD IMPACTS...
A CO-OP OBSERVER IN KINGSTREE REPORTED 9.85 INCHES OF RAIN IN
WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY. RADAR ESTIMATES OF AROUND 5 INCHES WERE
REPORTED ACROSS FLORENCE COUNTY WITH UP TO 3 INCHES ACROSS
DARLINGTON COUNTY. THE HEAVIEST RAINBANDS CONTINUE TO BE ON THE
WEST SIDE OF THE STORM CENTER AND THIS WILL BRING ADDITIONAL HEAVY
RAIN TO THOSE COUNTIES AND EVENTUALLY MOVE INTO DILLON AND MARLBORO
COUNTIES. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF TWO INCHES HAVE FALLEN ACROSS THE
WESTERN PORTION OF MARION COUNTY DURING THE PAST THREE HOURS WITH
ABOUT AN INCH OR SO ACROSS THE EASTERN PORTION.

FLOOD WARNINGS WILL CONTINUE TO BE ISSUED AS CONDITIONS DEVELOP.
