THIS STATEMENT RECOMMENDS ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN BY RESIDENTS OF
AGRIHAN...PAGAN AND ALAMAGAN.

...WATCHES AND WARNINGS...
A TYPHOON WATCH IS NOW IN EFFECT FOR AGRIHAN OF THE NORTHERN MARIANA
ISLANDS.

...STORM INFORMATION...
AT 1 AM GUAM LST...1500Z...THE CENTER OF TYPHOON SONGDA WAS LOCATED
NEAR LATITUDE 14.5 DEGREES NORTH AND LONGITUDE 156.6 DEGREES EAST.
THIS IS ABOUT 780 MILES EAST-SOUTHEAST OF AGRIHAN
              755 MILES EAST-SOUTHEAST OF PAGAN
              745 MILES EAST-SOUTHEAST OF ALAMAGAN
              725 MILES EAST OF SAIPAN
              795 MILES EAST OF GUAM.

TYPHOON SONGDA IS MOVING WEST-NORTHWEST AT 17 MPH. THIS GENERAL
MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS WITH A SLIGHT
DECREASE IN FORWARD SPEED. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE 80 MPH WITH
HIGHER GUSTS. TYPHOON SONGDA IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE INTENSIFY.

AND TROPICAL STORM WINDS UP TO 115 MILES.
