THIS STATEMENT RECOMMENDS ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN BY RESIDENTS OF THE
MARIANA ISLANDS. PREPARATIONS SHOULD BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO THE
ONSET OF DAMAGING WINDS.

A TYPHOON WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR GUAM...ROTA...TINIAN...SAIPAN AND
AGRIHAN.

...STORM INFORMATION...
AT 4 AM GUAM LST..1800Z..THE CENTER OF TYPHOON CHABA WAS LOCATED
NEAR LATITUDE 14.4 DEGREES NORTH AND LONGITUDE 148.8 DEGREES EAST.
THIS IS ABOUT 280 MILES EAST-NORTHEAST OF GUAM
              240 MILES EAST OF ROTA
              215 MILES EAST OF TINIAN
              210 MILES EAST-SOUTHEAST OF SAIPAN
              300 MILES SOUTHEAST OF ALAMAGAN
              325 MILES SOUTHEAST OF PAGAN
              365 MILES SOUTHEAST OF AGRIHAN.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE 85 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 105 MPH. TYPHOON
CHABA IS MOVING WEST AT 16 MPH.
