CANCELLED FOR CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN DELAWARE...

CANCELLED FOR THE REMAINDER OF CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY...
...TROPICAL STORM CHARLEY CONTINUES TO WEAKEN AS IT MOVES UP THE MID
ATLANTIC COAST...

BOTH THE TROPICAL STORM WARNING AND THE FLOOD WATCH HAVE BEEN
CANCELLED FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES.
IN DELAWARE,
KENT AND SUSSEX.
IN NEW JERSEY, MIDDLESEX, MONMOUTH, OCEAN, SOUTHEASTERN BURLINGTON,
ATLANTIC, CUMBERLAND AND CAPE MAY.

AT 11 PM EDT, THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM CHARLEY WAS LOCATED NEAR
LATITUDE 37.9 NORTH, LONGITUDE 74.9 WEST OR ABOUT 30 MILES SOUTH
SOUTHEAST OF OCEAN CITY, MARYLAND.
CHARLEY IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHEAST NEAR 35 MPH AND THAT MOTION
IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT 24 HOURS. THAT MOTION SHOULD
BRING THE CENTER OF CHARLEY NEAR SOUTHEASTERN NEW ENGLAND ON SUNDAY
MORNING.
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE DECREASED TO NEAR 40 MPH WITH SOME
HIGHER GUSTS. CHARLEY IS JUST BARELY A TROPICAL STORM AND IS
EXPECTED TO BECOME EXTRATROPICAL ON SUNDAY.
THE ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 1012 MB OR 29.88 INCHES.

RAINFALL TOTALS FOR OVERNIGHT INTO EARLY SUNDAY MORNING ARE EXPECTED
TO RANGE FROM 1 TO 2 INCHES IN MUCH OF DELAWARE AND NEW JERSEY.
WHILE THERE MAY BE SOME LOCALIZED FLOODING IN AREAS OF POOR
DRAINAGE, WIDESPREAD FLOODING IS NOT ANTICIPATED. AS A RESULT, THE
FLOOD WATCH HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED.

WINDS SPEEDS WILL RANGE FROM 15 TO 30 MPH OVER LAND DURING THE
NIGHT INTO SUNDAY MORNING. THE WIND SHOULD GRADUALLY DIMINISH ON
SUNDAY. OVER THE OCEAN WATERS OFF DELAWARE AND NEW JERSEY WIND
SPEEDS ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM 25 TO 30 KNOTS DURING MUCH OF THE
NIGHT AND A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT. WIND SPEEDS WILL BE
A LITTLE LOWER OVER DELAWARE BAY WHERE NO ADVISORIES OR WARNINGS ARE
IN EFFECT.
...WAVES AND RIP CURRENT INFORMATION...
SEAS ALONG THE COASTS OF DELAWARE AND NEW JERSEY WILL RANGE FROM 6
TO 10 FEET DURING THE NIGHT. THE SEAS WILL BEGIN TO SLOWLY SUBSIDE
ON SUNDAY.
THERE WILL REMAIN A HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS ALONG THE COASTS OF
DELAWARE AND NEW JERSEY THROUGH SUNDAY. DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS ARE
LIFE THREATENING TO ANYONE WHO ENTERS THE WATER.
