...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 800 PM CDT
FOR NORTHEASTERN DE KALB...WHITE AND PUTNAM COUNTIES...
At 724 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles south of
Cookeville, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Emergency management.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Cookeville, Sparta, Smithville, Algood, Monterey, Baxter, Doyle,
Hamptons Crossroads, Bakers Crossroads, and Burgess Falls State Park.
This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 270 and 303.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for Middle
Tennessee.
