The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Cheatham County in middle Tennessee...
  Central Davidson County in middle Tennessee...
  Macon County in middle Tennessee...
  Northeastern Montgomery County in middle Tennessee...
  Robertson County in middle Tennessee...
  Northern Smith County in middle Tennessee...
  Sumner County in middle Tennessee...
  Trousdale County in middle Tennessee...
  Northern Wilson County in middle Tennessee...

* Until 1130 PM CDT.

* At 531 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain
  have fallen in the last few hours. These storms can produce
  intense rainfall rates up to 4 inches per hour. Flash flooding is
  ongoing in some areas and can occur quickly in flash flood prone
  areas.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, street and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Gallatin, Lebanon, Springfield, Ashland City, Lafayette, Carthage,
  Nashville, Hartsville, Madison, Hendersonville, Mount Juliet,
  Goodlettsville, White House, Millersville, Greenbrier, Coopertown,
  Kingston Springs, Lakewood, Westmoreland and Pegram.

Some affected creeks and streams include the South Fork Red River
near Orlinda, Beaver Dam Creek, Sulphur Fork Creek near Springfield,
Stroudville, and Walnut Grove, Spring Creek near Barren Plains and
Kinneys, Buzzard Creek including Cedar Hill,

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
