...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN DAVIDSON...
SOUTHWESTERN SUMNER...NORTHWESTERN WILSON AND SOUTH CENTRAL ROBERTSON
COUNTIES THROUGH 730 PM CDT...
At 653 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking two strong thunderstorms
over Goodlettsville and Joelton, or 11 miles northeast of Nashville.
These thunderstorms were moving southeast at 5 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Gallatin, Nashville, Madison, Hendersonville, Mount Juliet,
Goodlettsville, Millersville, Greenbrier, Lakewood, Ridgetop,
Hermitage, Old Hickory, Joelton, Green Hill, and Whites Creek.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 between mile markers 211 and 220.
Interstate 65 between mile markers 85 and 103.
Interstate 24 between mile markers 32 and 55.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
