* Until 430 PM CDT.
* At 342 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Percy Priest Lake to Alexandria, moving south at 40
mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Murfreesboro, Lebanon, McMinnville, Smithville, Woodbury, Smyrna,
La Vergne, Mount Juliet, Nolensville, Watertown, Gordonsville,
Walterhill, Rural Hill, Antioch, Belinda City, Hickman, Alexandria,
Eagleville, Dowelltown, and Liberty.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 between mile markers 215 and 263.
Interstate 24 between mile markers 56 and 89.
Interstate 840 between mile markers 41 and 76.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning
is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
