...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN DAVIDSON AND
NORTHWESTERN WILLIAMSON COUNTIES THROUGH 315 PM CDT...
At 241 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Fairview, or 13 miles west of Franklin, moving east at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Franklin, Brentwood, Fairview, Leipers Fork, and Natchez Trace At
Highway 96.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 near mile marker 184.
Interstate 840 near mile marker 9.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
