...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of central Davidson
County through 615 PM CDT...
At 546 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Belle Meade, or near Nashville, moving northeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Nashville, Forest Hills, Oak Hill, Belle Meade, Bellevue, Berry Hill,
Bells Bend and Percy Priest Lake.
Those in the downtown Nashville area are in the path of this storm
and should prepare for lightning.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 between mile markers 197 and 219.
Interstate 65 between mile markers 77 and 92.
Interstate 24 between mile markers 41 and 55.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
