...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1100 PM CDT FOR HOUSTON
AND NORTHERN HUMPHREYS COUNTIES...
At 1048 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 9 miles northwest of Waverly near the Tennessee River,
moving east at 55 mph. A second severe thunderstorm capable of
producing a tornado was located near Camden, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.
Locations impacted include...
Waverly, Camden, Erin and McEwen.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Tornadoes are extremely difficult to see and confirm at night. Do not
wait to see or hear the tornado. TAKE COVER NOW!
