...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 PM CDT
FOR SOUTHEASTERN DAVIDSON...CENTRAL RUTHERFORD...EAST CENTRAL
WILLIAMSON AND SOUTHWESTERN WILSON COUNTIES...

At 851 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Smyrna, or 10
miles northwest of Murfreesboro, moving south at 35 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
         roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Murfreesboro, Smyrna, La Vergne, Nolensville, Walterhill, Eagleville
and Triune.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 24 between mile markers 59 and 83.
 Interstate 840 between mile markers 41 and 68.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
