...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of Cumberland,
southeastern De Kalb, northeastern Van Buren, White and southeastern
Putnam Counties through 1215 AM CDT...

At 1118 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong
thunderstorms centered near Sparta, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Cookeville, Crossville, Sparta, Spencer, Fairfield Glade, Monterey,
Crab Orchard, Pleasant Hill, Doyle, Hamptons Crossroads, Cumberland
Mountain State Park, Bakers Crossroads, Virgin Falls State Natural
Area, Lake Tansi, Indian Rock Lake and Fall Creek Falls State Park.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 290 and 340.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Brief heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead
to minor localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through
flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
