...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following
  counties, Cumberland, Fentress and Putnam.

* WHEN...Until 1100 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 757 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms tracking towards the southeast. Minor flooding
    is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
    Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches is expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Cookeville, Crossville, Fairfield Glade, Algood, Monterey,
    Crab Orchard, Pleasant Hill, Slate Springs, Cumberland
    Mountain State Park and Lake Tansi.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
