...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of central Rutherford
and southeastern Williamson Counties through 715 PM CDT...
At 642 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles south of Nolensville, or 12 miles west of Murfreesboro, moving
northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Murfreesboro, Smyrna, La Vergne, Nolensville, Walterhill, Eagleville,
Lascassas, Rockvale and Triune.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 24 between mile markers 64 and 82.
Interstate 840 between mile markers 36 and 63.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for
Middle Tennessee. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch also remains in effect
until 800 PM CDT for Middle Tennessee.
