...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 AM CST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following
  counties, Putnam and White.

* WHEN...Until 215 AM CST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1116 PM CST, trained weather spotters reported heavy rain
    in the advisory area due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
    ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 1 and 2.5
    inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Cookeville, Sparta, Algood, Monterey, Hamptons Crossroads,
    Bakers Crossroads and Burgess Falls State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
