...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of northern Davidson,
southwestern Sumner, northeastern Cheatham and southern Robertson
Counties through 1130 AM CDT...

At 1057 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
over Coopertown, or 9 miles southwest of Springfield, moving
southeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Springfield, Ashland City, Madison, Hendersonville, Goodlettsville,
White House, Millersville, Greenbrier, Coopertown, Lakewood,
Ridgetop, Hermitage, Old Hickory, Joelton, Pleasant View, Whites
Creek, Cottontown and Beaman Park.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 40 near mile marker 219.
 Interstate 65 between mile markers 86 and 111.
 Interstate 24 between mile markers 22 and 47.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 PM CDT for
Middle Tennessee.
