...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 100 PM CDT
FOR SOUTHERN CUMBERLAND...NORTHEASTERN VAN BUREN AND SOUTHEASTERN
WHITE COUNTIES...

At 1242 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 10 miles south of
Crossville, moving east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Crossville, Spencer, Fairfield Glade, Crab Orchard, Lake Tansi,
Cumberland Mountain State Park, Indian Rock Lake, Virgin Falls State
Natural Area and Fall Creek Falls State Park.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 323 and 339.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 600 PM CDT for Middle
Tennessee.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
