...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southwestern
Davidson, southeastern Dickson, western Williamson and south central
Cheatham Counties through 1245 AM CDT...
At 1203 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Fairview, or 12 miles east of Dickson, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Franklin, Brentwood, Spring Hill, Forest Hills, Oak Hill, White
Bluff, Kingston Springs, Thompson's Station, Pegram, Fairview,
Leipers Fork and Natchez Trace At Highway 96.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 between mile markers 178 and 189, and between mile
markers 191 and 193.
Interstate 65 between mile markers 56 and 74.
Interstate 840 between mile markers 1 and 4, between mile markers 7
and 17, and between mile markers 23 and 32.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
