...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of Smith, western
Jackson, east central Wilson, northwestern Clay, eastern Macon and
west central Putnam Counties through 615 PM CDT...

At 528 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles north of Red Boiling Springs to near
Watertown. Movement was east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Lafayette, Carthage, Gainesboro, Gordonsville, Red Boiling Springs,
Hickman, South Carthage, Moss, Whitleyville, Bugtussle, Pleasant
Shade, Granville and Boles.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 248 and 268.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for
Middle Tennessee.
