...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of west central
Cumberland, eastern White and southeastern Putnam Counties through
215 PM CDT...
At 140 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles east of Sparta, moving northeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Crossville, Monterey, Pleasant Hill and Virgin Falls State Natural
Area.
This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 302 and 314.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for Middle
Tennessee.
