The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
  Northern Georgia
  Eastern Tennessee

* Effective this Thursday morning from Midnight until 500 AM EDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 65 mph possible
  A tornado or two possible

SUMMARY...Low-topped bands of linearly organized structures will
continue northeastward across the region overnight. Isolated
convectively enhanced wind damage will be possible.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50
statute miles east and west of a line from 45 miles north of
Crossville TN to 30 miles south southeast of Chattanooga TN. For a

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
