The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Tornado Watch for portions of
  Far Southern Illinois
  Far Southern Indiana
  Western/Central Kentucky
  Southeast Missouri
  Northern Tennessee

* Effective this Monday morning from 150 AM until 700 AM CST.

* Primary threats include...
  A couple tornadoes possible
  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

SUMMARY...A nearly continuous line of storms, with embedded bows and
rotational segments, will continue to quickly progress
east-northeastward across the region overnight. Damaging winds may
be the most common concern, but a squall line-related tornado risk
will exist as well given the extreme low-level shear/SRH.

The tornado watch area is approximately along and 60 statute miles
east and west of a line from 45 miles west southwest of Fort
Campbell KY to 30 miles northeast of Owensboro KY. For a complete

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
and possible warnings.

surface and aloft to 0.5 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind
