Nashville has not recorded a temperature of 100 degrees or higher
since July 8, 2012. This nearly 10 year period of time without a
100 degree reading at Nashville is the 3rd longest stretch since
records began in 1871.

The longest length of time without a 100 degree reading in
Nashville occurred between August 13, 1881 and August 13, 1894, a
stretch of 13 years. The 2nd longest stretch was from July 11,
1969 to July 12, 1980, a period of 11 years. No 100 degree
temperatures were recorded in Nashville during the 1970s.
