...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 415 PM CDT
FOR SOUTHWESTERN DAVIDSON AND NORTHEASTERN WILLIAMSON COUNTIES...
At 345 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Forest Hills,
or near Franklin, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Franklin, Brentwood, Nolensville, Forest Hills, Oak Hill, Belle
Meade, Bellevue, Antioch and Berry Hill.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 between mile markers 195 and 197, and between mile
markers 209 and 214.
Interstate 65 between mile markers 66 and 82.
Interstate 24 between mile markers 49 and 59.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
