...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of west central Overton,
Smith, Jackson, southeastern Sumner, central Wilson, southeastern
Macon, Trousdale and northwestern Putnam Counties through 630 PM
CDT...

At 543 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Gainesboro to near Lebanon. Movement was
southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Gallatin, Lebanon, Carthage, Gainesboro, Hartsville, Watertown,
Gordonsville, Hickman, South Carthage, Alexandria, Tuckers
Crossroads, Whitleyville, Dixon Springs, Pleasant Shade, Rickman,
Dickerson Chapel Recreation Area, Granville and Cummins Falls State
Park.

Smith County Fair will also be impacted.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 40 between mile markers 234 and 266.
 Interstate 840 near mile marker 76.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
