...The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a Flood
Advisory for the following rivers in Tennessee...
Harpeth River Near Kingston Springs affecting Cheatham County.
For the Harpeth River...including Kingston Springs...elevated river
levels are forecast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and find an
alternative route.
Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.
The next statement will be issued this evening at 700 PM CST.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM THIS MORNING TO THIS EVENING...
...REPLACES RIVER FLOOD WARNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Harpeth River Near Kingston Springs.
* WHEN...From this morning to this evening.
* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Agricultural land and low lying areas
adjacent to the river begin to be inundated.
At 18.0 feet, Low lying areas of the Narrows of the Harpeth State
Park become inundated.
At 20.0 feet, Flooding of the Kingston Springs City Park begins
and water approaches Pinnacle Hill Road and East Kingstons Springs
Road. Several secondary roads near the river become impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM CST Wednesday the stage was 19.9 feet and
falling.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 9.5 feet early
Monday morning.
- Action stage is 18.0 feet.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
