Warning for the following rivers in Tennessee...

  Piney River Near Vernon affecting Hickman County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.

The next statement will be issued Wednesday afternoon at 1200 PM CST.

...REPLACES RIVER FLOOD ADVISORY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Piney River Near Vernon.

* WHEN...From this evening to midday tomorrow.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Flooding begins to impact low lying areas
  along the river from Interstate 40 to near Pinewood, Nunnelly, and
  down to the Duck River. Area roads may be affected, including
  Plunders Creek Rd, Garner Creek Rd, Beaver Creek Rd, Pinewood Rd,
  Mill Creek Rd, and Pretty Creek Rd.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:15 PM CST Tuesday the stage was 13.4 feet and rising.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    this evening and remain high overnight before falling
    Wednesday morning.
  - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
