This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Middle Tennessee.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
No hazardous weather is expected at this time.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.
Dangerously cold temperatures are expected across all of Middle
Tennessee Thursday night through at least Christmas Day. Once
temperatures fall below freezing Thursday night, they will stay below
freezing through the holiday weekend. This extended period of below
freezing temperatures could cause exposed or unprotected pipes to
rupture as well as result in isolated power outages. Dangerous wind
chills as low as 10 below zero will also be dangerous to people and
animals that are outdoors for any extended period of time.
Light rain will spread across Middle Tennessee on Thursday and
changeover to snow by Thursday night. Snow accumulations will be
possible which may result in hazardous travel conditions for the
holiday weekend.
