...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM CST THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following
counties, Jackson, Overton, Putnam and Smith.
* WHEN...Until 300 PM CST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1151 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain from
showers tracking towards the east. Minor flooding is ongoing
or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between
1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen with additional rain
expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Cookeville, Carthage, Gainesboro, Algood, Gordonsville, South
Carthage, Granville and Cummins Falls State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
