The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
  Southeast Arkansas
  Northeast Louisiana
  Northern Mississippi
  Southwest Tennessee

* Effective this Saturday night and Sunday morning from 815 PM
  until 200 AM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 65 mph possible
  Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible
  A tornado or two possible

SUMMARY...Multiple sub-regional corridors of strong-to-severe
thunderstorms are expected to continue eastward this evening
toward/across the Mississippi River with large hail and locally
damaging winds the primary hazard. A tornado could also occur,
particularly with an ongoing supercell in eastern Arkansas.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 35
statute miles east and west of a line from 35 miles northeast of
Memphis TN to 60 miles south southwest of Greenville MS. For a

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.

1.5 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind gusts to 55 knots. A
