...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT TONIGHT
FOR LAWRENCE AND SOUTH CENTRAL LEWIS COUNTIES...

At 957 PM CDT, Emergency management and the public reported flash
flooding ongoing across the warned area with several roadways and
creeks flooded. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain have fallen so far
today, and moderate to heavy rain will continue this evening.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Emergency management and public reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Lawrenceburg, Loretto, St. Joseph, Leoma, Westpoint, Henryville
  and Iron City.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
