Survey Summary:
A weak tornado touched down near South Willow Avenue and Winston
Drive in Cookeville, causing minor damage to a church and moderate
damage to an outbuilding, and snapping large branches from nearby
trees. It continued to the east downing multiple trees in east
Cookeville with Watauga Drive being the hardest hit. Then the
circulation appears to have crossed highway 111, causing minor
damage to multiple structures before lifting near Falling Water
Road and Buck Mountain Road.
