The National Weather Service in Nashville has extended the
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northern Lawrence County in middle Tennessee...
Central Wayne County in middle Tennessee...
* Until 900 AM CDT.
* At 627 AM CDT, Emergency management reported several flooded roads
across the area this morning. Doppler radar indicated
thunderstorms continue to produce heavy rain. Between 2 and 4
inches of rain have fallen so far this morning. Flash flooding is
expected to continue for a few couple more hours.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Emergency management.
IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
drainage and low lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Lawrenceburg, Waynesboro, Collinwood, Ethridge, Henryville and
Lutts.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
