...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Tennessee...
Duck River Near Hurricane Mills affecting Humphreys County.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.

...The Flood Warning is now in effect until early Friday morning...
The Flood Warning continues for
the Duck River Near Hurricane Mills.
* Until late Thursday night.
* At 8:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 27.2 feet and rising.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 8:00 PM CDT Sunday was 27.2 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 27.8 feet
tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage late
Thursday evening.
* Impact...At 28.0 feet, Widespread flooding of agricutural land and
other areas along the river is occurring from Bucksnort to
Taylortown, Cedar Grove, and to Bakerville Rd. Roads along the
river are flooding and impassable, including Hurricane Mills Rd,
Old Hwy 13 between Cedar Grove and Forks of the River Rd, Forks of
the River Rd between Blue Creek Rd, Pumpkin Creek Rd, and near the
Link Farm State Archaeological Area, Dyer Rd, Tumbling Creek Rd
and Watered Hollow Rd west of Hwy 13.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 27.7
feet on 05/28/1991.
