CUMBERLAND...EAST CENTRAL DE KALB...WHITE...CENTRAL PUTNAM AND
SOUTHWESTERN FENTRESS COUNTIES UNTIL 430 PM CDT...

At 404 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Sparta, moving northeast at 65 mph.

Penny size hail and winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Cookeville, Sparta, Livingston, Algood, Monterey, Doyle, Hamptons
Crossroads, Bakers Crossroads, Crawford, Burgess Falls State Park and
Rickman.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 286 and 308.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
