...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 PM
CST THURSDAY...
* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow
accumulations of 2 to 3 inches and ice accumulations of a light
glaze. Locally higher amounts are possible.
* WHERE...Portions of Middle Tennessee, including the Nashville
Metro Area, Clarksville, Murfreesboro, Columbia, Dickson and
Waverly.
* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 PM CST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Middle Tennesseans continue to experience
travel difficulties and some power outages from the last winter
storm, and additional accumulations of snow and ice will
exacerbate these ongoing hazards.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
