The National Weather Service in Nashville has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Giles County in middle Tennessee...
  Northeastern Lawrence County in middle Tennessee...
  Southeastern Lewis County in middle Tennessee...
  Maury County in middle Tennessee...

* Until 400 PM CDT.

* At 239 PM CDT, emergency management reported that flash flooding
  continues. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Emergency management.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
           drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Columbia, Lawrenceburg, Spring Hill, Mount Pleasant, Summertown,
  Ethridge, Hampshire, Williamsport, Santa Fe and Henryville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
