. Heavy rains have caused the Buffalo River above Flat Woods to rise above
Action Stage. It will continue to fall overnight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

* Until Friday afternoon.
* At 10 PM Thursday the stage was 16.8 feet.
* Action stage is 15.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* The river will continue to fall to near  feet by .
* At 15.0 feet...Water begins to inundate low lying agricultural land along the
  river from northern Wayne County to near Linden in Perry County.
