Elk River Near Pelham affecting Grundy County
. Heavy rainfall has caused the Elk River near Pelham to rise above Action
Stage. The river will remain high into Friday.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

The Flood Advisory continues for
The Elk River Near Pelham
* Until Friday morning.
* At 08AM Thursday the stage was 12.1 feet.
* The river will continue to rise to around 12.5 feet.
* Action stage is 11.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* At 14.0 feet...Water reaches a house on the left bank downstream of gauge.
Water may inundate parts of Bells Mills Rd between Interstate 24 and US-41
(Dixie Highway).
* At 11.0 feet...Water begins to inundate low lying wooded and agricultural
areas along the river.
